This year we saw Measure for Measure at Sand Harbor on Lake Tahoe. Outside of an pathetic performance by the lead actress it was a most enjoyable evening. This is part of a lovely area just outside the stage.

Happy Accident
For those of you who remember Bob Ross on PBS, you may recall that in following his painting method there were no mistakes, just "happy accidents." This is what happened here. This was an old tyme sepia print I created of an historic house in Carson City. When a watercolor filter was applied, various subtle greens and reds came into being. I played them up in Photoshop and the result is what you see here. I hope you like it.

Fun At Sunrise
It is still dark outside and I'm sitting here playing with what I thought were lost images. By lost I mean images that were dull and rather lifeless. This particular image was a series of ugly greens and and various shades of brown. With new plug-in software I was able to tranform the image (to my way of thinking) into something presentable.

Watercolors
The experimentation phase has been most pleasing. I have taken some chances, which, for me, are beyond the norm. At this point of life, I hope to adhere to the principles espoused by Maurice and make each day special. Whether you win, lose or get rained out at least you came dressed to play.

Gatsby Days
The Tallac Historical Site had a celebration they called Gatsby Days complete with period dress and automobiles. It was free and and quite entertaining. I shot the image of the pond at one of the estates and proceeded to have fun with its manipulation. THS is just past Camp Richardson at the south end of the Lake (Tahoe). If you are ever up this way it is well worth some of your vacation time. Oh, by the way, Move Over Monet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check out terrace621x3.blogspot.com

Aspens in Autumn
This image was produced around Hope Valley in California. It was one of those remarkably "happy accidents" (thank you Bob Ross). I had actually tripped and fallen in a mud hole. I was angry, but when I looked up I saw this scene, and the rest as they say is history.

Trees
As I mentioned in a previous post, my wife has an inner-view for beauty, especially trees. She has seen what can be done with Photoshop and already visualises the final image even if I can't. This why I don't argue when she says shoot that over there from this angle. We make a great team, and for that I am forever thankful.
